Ms. Yu is one of the few speech therapists who is knowledgeable in Mandarin and English. She understands the stages of bilingual development and what is normal and abnormal speech for children who speak Mandarin. I contacted a well known multi-displinary clinic in Pasadena and they referred me to Ms. Yu. Ms. Yu was helpful in providing handouts and gave me great suggestions on what I could do to help Kirk. He is progresing well in the general education classroom and academically he is at grade level.

Hope
Connie has given our family hope on Allie's speech and language development. Our daughter was a non-verbal 24 month old who cried often. Connie gave our family strategies on how to use communication to reduce Allie's fustration and behavioral tantrums. Allie is now able to speak simple 36 words within a 3 month period. Though she doesn't communicate like other 2 year olds, however we are getting there with the help of her expertise. |

Ms. Yu goes above and beyond her role as a Speech Language Pathologist. She truely cares for my son Bobby and provides helpful tips on what we could do at home. My son is a bright 3 year old boy who has normal language skills. His phonological deficts has affected his ability to express himself. He was shy and frustrated when he was asked to repeat himself more than 3 times. A friend of mine referred me to Ms. Yu. She has worked with Bobby for 3 months now. He's doing well and continues to see her for a couple sound errors. He's become intelligible and outgoing. I highly recommend her if your looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, receptive Speech Therapist

My son
Ms. Yu has provided therapy for my son for less than a year. She has made a difference in his behavior and our family interactions. My son was diagnosed with autism and sensory processing disorder. He was unable to attend classroom sessions and often through tantrums when routines were misplaced. Ms. Yu developed a schedule system for the entire team (classroom teacher, parents, RSP teacher, and Speech). In addition, she provided a 8 week parent group for parents who needed support at home. We felt safe with her. She's patient, kind, understanding and knowledgeable. Her parent program, intervention strategies, and team collaboration has helped our son and our entire family. He is no longer recommended for Special Day Class and is doing well in general education setting.

I saw so much improvement with my son Adrian. He was not able to produce the L's, K's, G's, and many other sounds. Ms. Yu worked with him for 4 months and now he's doing beautifully in Kindergarten. He has lots of friends and we are so proud of him.
